TIB Insurance Brokers (Pty) Ltd is an independent short term insurance broker established in 2008 and registered with the Central Bank of Lesotho in terms of the Insurance Bill of Lesotho.

The pre-descent company Norpet Insurance Brokers Lesotho (Pty) Ltd operated in Lesotho from 1979 – 2001. The Dixie family owner operates TIB and has deep roots in the Mountain Kingdom, having been in business in Lesotho for five generations, three of which are in the Insurance Industry.

Local knowledge and cumulative insurance experience within TIB of 150 years are part of what makes TIB a well -respected, well established continually expanding insurance broker able to offer expertise and support to clients, including those who have global requirements. TIB also offers a convenient solution to allow brokers not registered in Lesotho to maintain relationships with their clients while operating within the legislative framework of Lesotho.

The majority of our clients are in the Construction, Mining and the Commercial sectors, an area in which we have extensive experience and a deep understanding of our clients needs. Involvement in the Lesotho Highlands Water Scheme since its inception in 1986 adds unmatched depth to TIB’s construction expertise. We are proud to be the broker of choice to a number of Parastatals.

We are by no means experts in the new space of “cannabis insurance” but appear to be the only broker in the Lesotho industry making a concerted effort to find markets, engage insurers, create products and be innovative in general. As a result we have secured a number of clients in this arena.
