Clarkson Insurance Brokers Ltd- formally known as Clarkson Notcutt (Insurance Broker) Ltd until July 2012 and its predecessor parent companies have operated in Kenya since 1958 In brief, Clarkson traces its origins to at least six (6) parent companies namely:- H. Clarkson & Southern Co. Ltd and Ernest A. Notcutt & Co. Ltd of the United Kingdom, Arbon Langrish & Southern Ltd and Southern Shipping Lines ( overseas companies with local interests at the time), Clarkson & Southern Ltd and Notcutt Longaroni & Co. Kenya Ltd. Clarkson Notcutt (Insurance Broker) Ltd was born out of the merger of Clarkson & Southern Co. Ltd and Notcutt Longaroni & Co. Kenya Ltd.

In the year 2012, the new Shareholders rebranded the company and a new company name, Clarkson Insurance Brokers Ltd was adopted. The shareholders are experienced practitioners in the Financial services, Information Technology and Property sectors. The also possess an entrepreneur clout and this enable new ideas to be adopted in the organisation and this has culminated into a high growth rate for the organisation.

Clarkson’s business portfolio ranges from; Hydropower dams, NGO’s, hospitality, Financial services, agriculture, manufacturing, logistics, among others.

With the diverse businesses handled at Clarkson, this called for enhancement of staff skills and Clarkson boosts of staff that have both professional knowledge, capacity and experience to handle the technical aspects of the business policies.
